I am anal about battery longevity. So I turned off the coming home lights, always turn off stop/start as well since I hate it.

Don't forget if coolant is warm, the fan does work for a while after engine is turned off too.

Just code the bloody thing off! At some point you will forget it and it will come on at the worst time possible, like just before you want to exploit that gap and enter a round-about

On the lights aspect, there was a setting for the MK7 cars with Bi-Xenons to turn off the projectors during coming home mode so only DRLS were on. Apparently, apart from saving battery, this was also good for xenon bulb longevity as those extra 2 cycles of going on when locking / unlocking were hurting more than having them on for 30-60min, or so it was claimed by people supposedly more "in the know" than myself.

Any such coding known for our cars? Haven't found something so far in the adaptations threads.

@newbie69 don't have access to a VDCS or other device to code it off.  It's second nature to me now to switch it off after I start the engine anyway.

Xenons are not cheap so every little helps. Especially as the coming home function does nothing for me anyway.

Agreed. So where's the coding for that? :tongueout:    @Gizmo ?

PS. @MartiniB had the answer   I was browsing the adaptation titles quickly and was looking for "Xenons" as keywords so I missed it.

Coming Home can be moved to Fogs by VCDS

This is happening today first thing when I enter the car!

Yes I just code them to use the fogs instead (then fit LEDs into the fogs)
