I can't confirm this, never tried with Samsung, my Huawei P20lite doesn't support mirrorlink at all.

HTC has built in car app "CAR" that also works perfect, not full mirror but through this app it is possible to have any app opened on car display.

LG Mirror Drive works for all Android mobiles.

You have to stop notification from this app after intalation.

If you do not own a mobile with MirrorLink it is impossible to mirror your phone in the car.

Floating App is enabling you to launch internet browser on your car display, as well as for other apps you have in your mobile.

For e. g. I have a Samsung S5 and work very well (I also check with Note4 and Huawei P20).

Unfortunately it doesn`t. Allow or deny permissions, it refuses to work. Launches, but that`s all.

After the message that LG Mirror Drive works only with LG products you should hit OK and then you should access the icon of Floating App (should be installed by you and make the settings on the mobile to see the icon both on mobile and on the screen - "enable floating app icon" - yes).

From there you can access the internet browser and all other app installed - depending on the settings you make in Floating App).

Hi everyone,

After a lot of time spend asking for support to dealer, factory (tech support) and numerous hours on YouTube checking all possibilities to play video files on Amundsen...I succeeded!!!!

My case: Android 6.o with MirrorLink and a floating software made in Checz R or Slovacia and LG Mirror Drive (free).

For more info: {email removed}

Please provide me with your registration number, what you're driving and the area of the roads in the UK you can most commonly be found.

Just so I can be sure to be extra vigilant if I ever encounter you.

It works for video in motion?

Why do you need LG mirror or anything else, if paid Floating apps does all the job?

LG Mirror Drive makes the connection for MirrorLink and Floating App is enabling the windows on the car monitor.

No it doesn't.  You need an app like lg mirror drive or rockscout to make the connection and only then the floating apps icon appears in infotainment screen.

Who are you talking to?

Yes, it does.

I am using Floating Apps without any side applications on my Columbus. Web browser, Youtube, video playback - all is there, moving or not ( NB! Not watching when driving. Just have tried to makse sure it does).

The topic is about Amundsen...

I don`t see any difference, Amundsen or Columbus.

Trick is, you need paid (about 7 euros) Floating Apps (Full Mirrorlink), the free one needs LG Mirrordrive to launch.

Well in Amudsen it doesn't. But I would appreciate a photo of how it appears on Columbus since the creator of floating apps makes it very clear that you have to run rockscout or lg mirror first (or some other apps)

Here is the fault. Not rockscout. Not LG mirror. ANY mirrordrive compatible app.

I launch Mirrordrive and then Skoda One app, which is preinstalled. After launching Skoda app the floating app icon appears.

Ok, now we are on the same page. I noticed that using floating apps with rockscout runs more smoothly than One App.

I haven`t noticed any major problems. Actually, there must be no difference what app is running on background. They are only to get Floating apps activated. But who knows.
