Seems like a good deal, is it?

Featured Replies

Looking for a car and saw this, looks like a steal. How reliable are these engines and what kind of repair costs are to be expected if something goes wrong? Looking at this for while I'm studying at uni. Will be travelling to hospitals around 40 mins away each day and some town driving. What kind of mpg are to be expected? Any known faults I should be aware of?

Welcome to the forum.

Someone will be along that knows about them.

56 plate / 2006, Very low mileage at 26,000 & £3,495 asking price.   Looks OK as well.

For 13yr old car even with the low mileage, youd get better value/ pricing than that.

That said, a 1.9pd 105bhp engine is a fairly solid reliable lump of a thing. Not quite as good as the non-pd 1.9 that predates it (i believe genuinely large caliber bullet proof...) in the mk1 octavia/fabia but cheap to maintain...
