The wording goes:  'if manufacturer does increase price your order may be cancelled... we will notify you of this...you will have the opportunity to place a new order based on the revised price'

Glad they make it clear. When signing the order form, I'd add an additional clause - "If the price increases then my order WILL be cancelled."

Hello All,

I went into my local Skoda garage to see what is on offer regarding new 2019 Skoda Octavias.

For an SE 1.5TSI (manual) the list price of 22910 was dropped to 21171. I've got no idea if the discount is normal for this time of year.

If I take out Skoda finanace then a further 2500 is taken off the discounted price.

I specced up a VRS 4x4 diesel with 13 optional extras and DriveTheDeal came in at just over £26k instead of sticker price of pushing £34k.

That included the £2.5k dealer contribution so stupid discounts are out there - but be mindful of a no-deal Brexit and a subsequent import tax adding 10-20% to list prices if you order now.

What are people’s plans if the price of their Škoda does go up? I mean, I’d imagine it’ll be the case for most manufacturers. Are people going to cancel their +10% Škoda for a +10% Ford?

The way the fiasco that is brexit is going, chances are you'd have the car delivered and already be paying for it by the time it's sorted.

What's the waiting time like for orders placed now?

New VRS is calling me ...

I was quoted 16 weeks recently.

That'll be nearly a 69 plate then

Appears the new Finance offers for Quarter 2 on Skoda UK website apply to Octavia vRS, but no other Octavia listed

So unless there is a missing offer, appears no longer PCP on Octavia (except vRS)

Other models are listed (including a rather strange 0% offer on selected 2018 model year Fabia)

I bought on PCP to get Skoda’s discount £4K then settled finance within 14 days at very little cost. Also bought via New Car Discount factory build. Fantastic saving.

Update ... car now built and leaving factory for delivery to UK.

If everything goes according to plan it should be on my drive before the end of this month

Yes, yes, yes. .. Pride of place on my driveway with only factory delivery miles on it -> a  2019 Skoda Octavia

Also phoned up Skoda finance and asked for a settlement figure for the PCP contract - dead easy.

Thanks to everyone who posted responses here.

Looks great 😎

18 days from leaving factory to being on your drive? That’s decent time. Enjoy the car!

Loving the car, so far. It's not @ 100% though but pretty close

Here is what is holding it back - it's got an annoying plastic squeaking noise coming from the gearbox console.

Only makes itself known when doing over 30mph and the road isn't smooth (so that'll be most of the time then...)

If I press against the console the noise stops. Anyway the garage said to bring it in and they'll have a look at it.
