Superb Console Bushes Combi/Estate do I need them?

Featured Replies

All,

Having had consoles replaced from standard VAG ones to Cupra less voided ones. Both my Octy 2 and Fabia Vrs front end pitching and maybe nose lift significantly improved afterwards. The most noticeable was braking on the motorway, which happens a lot on the M1 suddenly. The nose dive is reduced.

Can this be achieved on a 125k S2 or should I stick to OEM?

Note the 234k Octy2 still going strong with them since swapped, none of the cracked advisories from MOT or Skoda service

I ordered the Powerflex ones for my car but they are not console bushes that are fitted for the 2012 model
It a standard wishbone bush and on contacting Powerfelx they say not available for 2009-2013 model
Told me to measure the bush and get back to them with dimensions
May do that next week......or maybe not

Well there is the difference, the bush at the 8 o’clock position (bottom left corner) is what’s different on the S2 compared to the Octy2 and Fabia1. I read a lot about consoles over the years on various VAG cars. As I said upgraded both the my other to Cupra ones. I would rather not go poly on a diesel. Maybe this is no longer a weak point given this setup?

Just checked the powerflex website and they do console bushes for 2009-2011
Mines was a 2012 with the above arm
