Sorry not a clue, but best Call out Skoda Assist.

What engine, and how old is the car and how many miles done?

2.0 tdi manual (150PS) one year old 12718 miles. no loss in power though. seems like a lot of faults if its only minor. gonna give skoda a call tomorrow

Call Skoda Assist.

The AA responder will come out.

Yep, don't mess around trying to get it booked into your local dealer.

As above, ring SKODA Assist and let them come to you. If they recommend to not drive the car they'll arrange for your car to be transported to the dealer and put you in a hire car whilst it's being fixed.

Hey Birky, have you sorted it? Eager to know as I am in the same situation(the light just came on). Skoda assist said take the vehicle to dealer! Thanks

Is it this light?

Unfortunately it does say that you can continue driving with the light illuminated...

Yes, that's the one. What was the reason for your Kodiaq to develop the issue?

Not sure. We'll need to wait for @birky.

I remember I had almost the same fault /Boost Sensor (G32) / on my Superb II . Got the boost sensor changed and everything else was fine after that.

Sensors seem to be the weak side on Skodas. Changed 3 or 4 sensors on my SII.

But the engine light may mean wide range of faults, not only some sensor issue.

Thanks guys. Booked in for tomorrow at the dealer

Hello everyone,

It was the DPF sensor that caused the issue. Sorted now. Thanks

Good to know, same we're still seeing duff DPF sensors, thought they'd fixed these weaknesses years ago. Hopefully just a one-off.

Hi Guys,

I have Skoda Kodiaq 2.0TDI Edition 2017 - the emissions / Engine light came on as above, I'd been using cheap Tesco Diesel for a while instead of V-Power which I had always previously used but its become too expensive.

Called my friends garage to book it in then the light went out...? He said it might be the fuel, so I filled up with V-Power Diesel, light stayed off until I got to the end of the tank - it came on again - so I filled up again with V-Power but its remained on this time and I'm a 100 miles into the full tank now so I would have thought if it was the fuel it would've gone back out by now?

I'm out of warranty so I guess its a visit to the garage to get it tested out - hopefully if it is the DPF sensor (which had gone previously on my old Occy) its a cheap and easy fix?

Any other ideas?

Thanks

The only definitive way is to scan the car and read the fault codes, the EML is used to signal lots of different faults.

No reason that it should be Tesco Diesel that has anything to do with things.

Cheaper to buy but no different from any other higher priced at Esso, BP, Gulf, Texaco etc Regular Diesel / Derv ,even Royal Dutch Shell's Diesel that is not the premium V-Power.
