Plans are replace the "budget tyres" with michelin cross climate + , and get a remap (takes it to 220 bhp!) Thats it for now!

They knew / know how to do interiors.

Does the AWD have a service history / invoices?

yeah the seats are awesome, its a lovely place to be on a long drive! and so effortless, the auto attached to the big diesel... it has a full service history, last service and cambelt jan/feb this year .... the gearbox (although volvo say its a lifetime sealed unit) had a service (oil change) last year, the mechanic we bought it from says he recommends we do that every 40k for longevity , the volvo forums seem to agree... so I'll do that again next year :)

Good if the Auto in your car is sealed for life. My car had the Autobox replaced at 66,000 miles, but it was a 2003 T5.

The Autobox had a dipstick, so that meant a filler tube.

lol.... its an improvement on the Alfa! I got 46 mpg on the motorway on the way home, the alfa would have been 29 ..... under normal driving we can apparently expect mid 30 s ... where the alfa would have been doing 18-20 .... going to map it too ... 220 bhp ;)

Keep an eye on the oil level, it can rise due to diesel contamination caused by the def regeneration process. Extra diesel is injected to burn off the dpf, unfortunately some finds it’s way into the oil, I guess though borewash..

If it happens drain some out, keep just below max and change oil extra regularly.

Or you could knock the guts out of the dpf and reprogramme the regen out of the ecu.

the guy we bought it from mentioned this... said not to fill to max on oil changes, but to a chip in the dipstick that looks about half way , then keep an eye that it doesn't go above max, and if it does change the oil....

Looks good! How many miles on this one?

Really, really, really surprised about that Isofix issue, in a Volvo of all cars! Glad it's easily fixable though.

141,000 miles.. mileage really isn't an issue on them... think we might call it "boaty" because thats what its like to drive! lol....

I was amazed it didn't have ISOFIX considering the octy is 5 years older and has it! :O anyway this arrived today, genuine Volvo part, bolts in, will "fix" our issue! lol...

next mod done, blinds installed, to give the tinted look, keep out prying eyes if Ash has stock in the back, keep the sun out of Roses eyes, and looks cool!

Just found out the car has memory seats! :O had the seat set to what i wanted, opened it, and it reverted to Ash s position! :( think it depends on which key is used to open the door, then it sets the seat for you straight away! need to get the manual out me thinks!!

IMG_3989.JPG

I had 3 years of ownership and the owners manual and never figured it out. Sometimes when i got in the car the seat was fully forward and up.

The other thing to be aware of is the alarm.

The Service Schedule Replacement is at 12 years.  I ended up pulling the fuse that is in the side panel of the dash when the door is open.

Other issue is the Key Barrel. That has many cars getting scrapped.

£600 from Volvo and dash out and new security bolts, luckily my super tech welded bolts to the bolts and removed with dash in place and then key coded. all lights went out thankfully, but it was fingers crossed.

we have two keys... one is broken but the fob still works, so going to get another piece of metal cut, and we will have two fully functioning keys, hopefully they will sort themselves out with the memory! lol... suprisingly even readjust the wing mirrors too!

Nice B)

Yet another car I've had a hankering for over the years.

£50 for x2 new front springs..... not so expensive!

If you need other bits of useful spares have a look at www.ipdusa.com. If you haven´t considered taking care of your "servicefree" automatic i suggest that you look into the small things they have for changing the oil and flushing it of any residual oil. This will work wonders for the longevity and smoothness of the box ( usually problems start to appear around 250000 km ).

Have fun with the new toy.

Both of mine are broken on the C30.. looks like it’s lowered it’s ok until you hit a speed bump lol. Other issues to fix first.
