Hi. My 2015 amundsen display has an intermittent fault. Sometimes on starting the car it stays black and wont turn on. The radio works through the dash display and i can hear beeps when pressing buttons on the screen but nothing is displayed.

 

Turn the engine off and on again and it works as normal.

 

Happens 1 in 50 times. Any ideas?

 

I've not had that specific fault but I have had the Maxidot display black, and also separately "Component protection active" on the Amundsen. I mentioned it to the dealer when it went in for it's second service (17/FL) but nothing was done I don't think. To be fair each has only happened a couple of times in the year I've had it. If yours is more common I wonder if there's a loose connection somewhere. 

I have a spare screen you are welcome to purchase if it is proven to be the fault.  have you tried taking the bits out to make sure the plugs are all home?
