Sat Nav update

Featured Replies

When updating the software I understand it takes about 50 mins, can I just pop the disc in a leave the car for a while? can I even lock it?

Depends entirely on what you're actually doing. If updating the unit software then it needs to be done in one go and the unit will stay powered on while its working.

If you're updating the maps then they'll cope with turning the unit off and back on again, and will continure from where the process left off (as long as you're not using the SD card trick to load them).

It's the unit software, I've been given a more up to date disc.

Well the software update was fine but bought one of those discs offa the interweb for a map update and not working.  Tried cleaning the lens but no luck its not liking the disc 😞

Ordered mine was reading reviews and a guy tried just maps and would not read the disc so installed firmware and all hunker doree
