Thanks, the official dB ratings are external tread noise, and so may not correlate well with internal noise, particularly transmitted vibration and so cabin resonance.

Interesting choice, I have P7s which came on my car and want to change them.  Fine in the summer, but dreadful in cooler weather of autumn until April mornings, hard and not grippy.

What do youlike about them, or do you run separate set of winter tyres?

Not had any issues tbh, seem fine for a barge. I’m not a slow driver but The 1.4 petrol isn’t a beast and it’s relatively light so doesn’t push the front as much as a heavier diesel. A well chosen line is all you need to make progress.

I fitted Kumhos to my Superb 280 with 19” wheels. Much cheaper than the likes of Michelin PS4. I like them, but they are quite soft and they do wear fairly quickly. Great grip though. They lasted about 12,000 miles of “spirited” driving (mostly twisty country roads in Scotland). Which didn’t seem long so I splashed out on some Michelin PS4s. Wow they are much harsher and noisier than the Kumhos, and don’t inspire with the same grip, but they seem to be lasting much better. Basically a much harder compound. So probably the lowest cost per mile. But the Kumhos are definitely much nicer to live with.
