Skoda Dealer Offering Remaps?

Featured Replies

Just come back from Hilliers Garden Centre in Liss where Skoda are doing a promotional event (see clicky). Nothing unusual about that but they had a MkII Octy vRS which Skoda had claimed to have been 'chipped'. Spoke at length with the guys there and found out that the dealer was offering a Remap for

My dealer does "Superchips". In which case

I know of one who will ask if you want it "chipped" when selling you a car :D

The 2.0TFSI is more expensive to remap than a 1.8T at a regular remapper anyway.

Is it!!!

The dealer I brought my car from (no longer in existance) had some arrangement with the local Revo place.... they had their Fabia VRS Demo car remapped and you could get a 20% discount for a Revo map, if you so desiered, if you went a head and put an order in for a new car...............

Just come back from Hilliers Garden Centre in Liss where Skoda are doing a promotional event (see clicky[/url']). Nothing

Glad to see someone benefitted from that event link I posted... :)

I live just down the road from Jacksons Skoda, in Basingstoke, and there seems to be some other evidence for dealers offering remapping services:

So, when I take my Octy vRS in for its service, I'll ask them for more details. If I had to guess, I'd say they might be using DMS Automotive, who are just down the road in Andover.

Does the fact that the dealer is offering these remaps mean that they aren't invalidating warranty?

They would cover it with a 'dealer' one

Interesting . . . . :)

At £650 exc VAT, i'm sure it'd cover the warranty especially from the dealer.
