Hi I just brought a Skoda rapid space back last week.  I need help with buying a sd card not sure what one to buy.

 

can anyone help please?

Is this for the sat nav or putting music on?

 

If it's for music, I always use Sandisk

Get a Class 10 card with up to 128Gb and you’ll get some future proofing built in. 

As to which one, well due to the amount of fakes out there I’d say get it direct from such as Amazon.

Ignore my last then as that was referring to a music card. I’ll let others tell you the in’s and out’s of what’s required to comply with Skoda security.

Is it best to just buy it from Skoda garage?

Only if you don’t mind paying OEM prices.

There are many threads on SEATCUPRANET (and no doubt other VW fan sites) which explain how to make a maps SD card.

Actually that's quite interesting as I thought a secure card was a pre-requisite or are you referring to getting the maps onto the card?

I have one here with the latest maps loaded on.

I believe the techie types on SCN detail exactly how to prepare a working SD map card from scratch.

Just wondering if anyone can help me I’m looking for an sd card for my 2017 1.2 tsi rapid spaceback, just need to know what sd card I need for my navi to work.
