What are the OEM tyres for Fabia Estate Comfort 1.2 HTP 64 2003?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I guess the title says it all really.  I've not had the car since new and I don't think any original tyres were on it when bought.  The manual doesn't say...  It states:  "The tyre/wheel combinations which are approved for your vehicle are indicated in your vehicle documents".  But I don't know which documents they are referring to.

So with some Fabia enthusiasts/experts in this forum I was hoping someone might be able to tell me :)

Cheers

No idea what make of tyres were fitted in 2003 (and designs would have been superceded by better versions anyway)

For the 1.2 12v 64 engine, following sizes were originally available (but some maybe not in UK)

Suspect it has 14 inch wheels, but don't know which size you have,  guessing 185/60

The tyre size should still be same, but rating 81T will be higher on newer tyre designs

165/70 R14 81T

185/60 R14 81T

195/50 R15 81T

175/65 R14 81T

185/55 R15 81T

195/50 R15 82H

Sorry, yes - I should have stated what I have on there now...  I currently have x3  185 - 60 - R14 - 82H, with the other one being 185 - 60 - R14 - 82T.

Many thanks

Look for a PR code like H2Z on the data sticker in the boot or service book.

Our 2005 car with same engine has 185/60/R14 which is designated by that code, defined as

H2Z - "Tires 185/60 R14 T"

If it isn't that, look for any other codes starting with an H.

You have the correct sized tyres fitted already, the speed rating is frankly a moot point on a car as slow as the 1.2 since it simply defines how stiff the tyre carcass is to prevent the tyre growing as speed increases.

If you're buying new tyres then get the same size.
