Is this from the UK website? Hopefully it is as this will then confirm their availability here.

Interesting the change in ET on the Ignite so shows a 255 rather than the 235 on Xtreme/Vega.

Could I buy four of these and simply stick them on my VRS (currently has 20" XTremes)?

Or are the bolt arrangements different?

It’s a thinner wheel but the lower offsets on the ignite should fill the are a bit better

Interestingly a 235/45 is taller overall than the 255/40 albeit not by much so if anything the Ignite will fill the arches less.

@SkodaVRS1963 - don't see why not... they haven't change the bolt pattern (since you can get all the wheels as options) so just a matter of taste if you like them.  Not sure I like Skoda's trend of directional spokes but they all look better than the aftermarket wheels on the service managers Sportline at my dealer.

What I mean is with the lower offset they will give the illusion of filling the arches as they all seem to sit way too far in

The ignite rims only sit about 1cm farther out than the Xtremes, so I might end up putting 10mm spacers on the car when it arrives.

Ah yes... that they should.

Generally when you talk about "filling the arches" you're referring the height between the top of the tyre and the wheelarch.

If they stick out further from the car then that is sometimes referred to as "stance".

Listen to me, proper down with the kids!

Hello everyone,

do you think it's possible to buy the ignite wheels without tyres and install the normal 234/45 on them (instead of 255/40)?

I think it shouldn't be a problem to fit a 235 tyre on a 8.5j of wheels width.

what do you think?

thanks.
