Not obvious where to place axle stands at the front, just wondering about these two locations:

Top picture is where I use the jack on my car.

 

Picture two is were I put my axle stands.

That's what I've just done! 

I thought the most obvious place was the sill if you are not using that point to jack the car up. That is if the jack isn't in the way.

Those points are where the factory lifts suspend the car during production, Audi put plastic bungs in them to stop crud getting in. Very strong point of the chassis, there will  be four of these on the car. 

I found some jack pads with ECS tuning but I do not know which ones would fit the Superb (Not a full Passat chassis)

The B6 Passat is the same chassis I think so I'd presume that.  Good idea them.
