For the insurance being lower, I would think that's because the Challenge has front sensors with front assist. Insurance companies like automated braking, I use LV and it specifically asks if your car has this during the quote.

It could well be that one - but what happens if you option it on the non Challenge? You'll still get the inferior higher grouping applied. Guessing like everything its the standard model offering and options won't affect anything.
