I'm in trouble with our daughter because I disconnected the battery on her mk1 Octy whilst i was doing some work on the car but forgot that - unlike the mk2 - the radio wouldn't recode itself after 😞

 

Local stealer wants 25 squid (presumably plus vat) and the car for an hour.

 

Any other effective (and cheaper) means out there?

I assume you have tried switching the ignition on when safe is up?
