Replacing the wheel centre pop-out on A3 alloys

Featured Replies

Just acquired a set of Audi A3 16" alloys as part of an exercise to see how I like either 16s or 17s on my preFL O2 4x4 estate.

I didn't get the centre inserts with the wheels so I'll be hunting on fleabay and aliexpress for some soon.

What I'm wondering is whether the centre Audi emblem pops out and of so whether I can fit a Skoda emblem instead?

Not really, as far as I recall.

I had the same situation with the same wheels, about 8 years ago. I was able to remove the Audi chrome circles though, then stuck Skoda emblems over what remained. Looked fine, but you will need a heat gun/hairdryer to warm up the emblems before sticking them on, to bend to the dome shape.

Thanks for that.  I've been looking at some plain inserts on aliexpress so I think that is the way to go plus adding an appropriate Skoda centre.

I'm trying to persuade a friend of mine to design and 3D print some centres but not making too much headway ATM ...

I got VW winter alloys and measured the centre cap diametre. someone was selling the VW diametre cap with Skoda logo.

I did the same as P with some Audi wheels.

One thing i did learn from my tyre fitter when putting the centre back on, on the inside of the centre there is a picture of a tyre valve, you line this up with tyre valve on wheel. There hard enough to fit in the right way if you know this.
