Kodiaq on line via SIM card in Australia?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Out of curiosity I put a data sim card into my new Kodiaq today. It's receiving data just fine - tested by connecting my phone to it.

Now I'm wondering what I can do with it.

Without Skoda Connect is there any point to having a data sim installed in the car, except for giving ipads etc WiFi internet access?

I was going for google earth views in navigation, but it's not going to happen is it?

Pretty much useless. The service is not available in Australia.

Thanks Alex,

I googled and googled last night and took the sim card out this morning 😕

If you have kids with tablets I guess the car WiFi system has some merits, but you may as well hotspot from your own phone anyway.
