To be clear what mean when I say “ghost screen”, things happening like Siri asking me what I would like to say to people in my contacts, or even starting calls randomly, neither of which I have requested, as though a ghost is working my Bolero. Is this hardware? The other thing I’ve been seeing is constant cycling of the starting Apply Play via usb message, until I reboot the Bolero, after which it works normally when I re-attach my phone to the USB.

I've got issue disconnecting android auto. Sometimes it's happen when USB cable slightly moved inside the socket.

But I can not get the system to detect the firmware. I tried 3 different USB memory sticks. 8GB, 16GB and 128GB. I formatted them on Windows and on Mac as FAT32. I unpacked and placed the content in root on the drive. I tried updating from the Menu > Settings > System menu but also by holding the Menu button for 5 seconds. Bolero does detect the USB stick but absolutely not the firmware. The "select source" menu is all greyed out - CD ROM, USB Memory and SD Card. It's a Skoda Fabia so there is no CDROM or SD Card.. just a USB connection. I have updated this Bolero once before in 2020. It worked fine back then. Before it was on version 353 and I updated to 367. The update that I can't get to work is the 369. Is there a bug in 367 that prevents from detecting firmware on USB?

Of course there is SD slot, it is located inside the glove box. Look into your car manual. Basically do not use USB but SD and follow the procedure:

1. format SD (max 32GB) under FAT32
2. unpack to root (metainfo2.txt and all the folders must be placed directly on SD, not in any folder)
3. insert SD card into the slot
4. enter Service Menu (long press MENU button)

Some days it's all ok, other days it doesn't work. The dispay turn on, on the Skoda logo but don't start. Even if I wait several minutes. When the system doesn't work, also the usb doesn't work (don't charge telephon or other.. No electricity comes out)..

This doesn't look good - intermittent failures are the nightmare for analysis and finding the root cause. Having a log could help but for this you need PC connected with UART to the unit when it fails.
