Evening All

I will be purchasing a superb estate next week, there is a few around I've been looking at. Got about 15k max to spend, looking at se tech or se l exec, is there any major differences i should be aware of which may sway which one to get, atm the se tech seems to be winning, not overly fussed on xenons can always just upgrade the bulbs. But the front parking sensors are a plus.

Also anything in particular i should look out for when viewing? Going to be a 17 plate most likely, 20-35k miles depending which ones i see.

Many thanks in advance

Chris

I am going to be looking for a Superb too next year I think (see my thread on this) - For me, both have a decent spec to be worth considering, so you have to consider each car as an independent proposition:

So in my case, as well as one of the more economical engines (1.6 greenline or 2.0 Diesel, or perhaps the 1.4 petrol), colour (petrol blue ideally), mileage (<50k), service history (fixed / 10k mile services rather than >15k variable) etc. it depends what options over the standard SE Tech or SE L spec the car I’d be looking at has.

As I’ll live somewhere rural when we return to the U.K. next year I would really want a heated windscreen and a towbar for a bike rack - Plus a rear parking camera in case the wife has to drive it ever(!) -  Ideally the crew assist option too for complete peace of mind for the kids.

Not directly answering your question I know - I’d suggest your best bet from here is to look up the standard spec for each and compare.

You might struggle to find a heated windscreen or a towbar on an SE L Executive, there might be one out of 50 with an extra - KESSY is the most common it seems. I've decided on an L&K as I really want a towbar (also for a bike rack), heated screen (for the 6:30am commutes to work in winter), pan roof (just becuase it's huge and awesome, have a sunroof on my current car), there's a few L&K car's about which have had every single option ticked but very few SE L's that have had any options added.
