Faulty rear sensor on Rapid

Featured Replies

Hi folks

Looking for a bit of advice on sensors. The centre sensor on my 2014 Elegance isn't working and I'm unsure about a replacement that will still register with the stereo (Swing system), whether I can buy just a sensor alone such as this one:

Or whether I need to go for a full replacement kit? I was quoted £255 for getting is sorted by local Skoda dealership. Also a local bodyshop person who installs sensors has looked into it has said that the software would need to be updated once the replacement sensors installed (he wasn't specific about what he'd be replacing with).

Any advice appreciated!

If not factory installed they don't show on the Head Unit, so you don't want the aftermarket kit.

Just a part number for the factory sensor I expect.

Thanks camelspyyder. £89.20 from Skoda dealer for the part but he wouldn't give out the part number! They're now saying they'd only need to replace the faulty sensor whereas previous they said that they'd have to replace all three!
