The driver's seat in my 9N Polo seems considerably more comfortable than the one in the missus's Fabia. The Fabia one seems to have zero lumbar support by comparison.

I believe they are a straight swap, but she's not having mine. :D

No idea about the cars you mention and interchangeability, but I doubt it; without work/physical adaptation.

I cant get any polo/cordoba/inca/fabia seats that don't have a damaged bolster. The fabia seat was designed by a sadist

Yeah, they are not the most comfortable of seats for sure.

Inca and Caddy seats are different.

Does your car have a standard stereo or aftermarket? Aftermarket ones need to have a signal booster fitted.

It's a standard stereo I don't want to ruin the headliner so window would be ideal

I'm not sure that one would work because the standard stereo sends voltage to the roof aerial through the coaxial cable. However, you can just lower the headlining to fit a new roof aerial.

The standard head unit supplies power to a signal amplifier in the base of the aerial...   It's usually water ingress that knackers the latter.  However they are easy to change without knackering the headlining as they can be accessed by removing the trim around the boot opening and just easing the liner.

I will have a look tomorrow thanks, a set of Argos seat covers would cure the torn bolster and colour difference on the seat I suppose.

I find my seats are fairly comfortable but maybe that's because I'm a shorty and don't weigh much possibly.

Young lady I'm almost svelte in poor light! In my car seats are very good looking, clean no rips or tears etc. Material seems to be covering a jiffy bag and there's no lumbar adjustment, I don't mind the passenger seat being uncomfortable the missus sits there

What I meant was maybe because I'm small I would be lower in the seat when I'm driving and that could be why I find the seat is fairly comfortable

Well, regarding seat comfort YMMV. An ex-mate (lost touch) and I used to drive model 1 and both found the seats comfortable. He couldn't do a half-hour test drive in model 2, but I could literally drive from Weymouth to Dumbarton, and feel fresh enough to have a shower and then go out for dinner with friends that evening.

I haven't tried a model 2 but like you say I do find the  mk 1 seats are comfortable 👍
