Lumbar support underwhelming (2015 Elegance half leather)

Featured Replies

The lumbar support on both front seats of my Octavia is pretty poor. I drive a mk7 Golf Trendline (basic) which has better lumbar support.

It definitely moves out a bit, but there’s no real push to it. The passenger seat is the same so I’m wondering if it’s just the way they are, or are they both broken?

No you are right the Elegance/SEL seats are not that great for support and the lumbar doesn't seam to be in the right place.

The seats in my wife's Octavia Mk2 SE are far more comfortable and the lumbar adjustment is great.

I’m gonna investigate fitting some hard foam inside the seat where I need the support.

@Carlsson please let us know how you get on.  I find the bolsters are far too small to support me in turns.  If there is a way to improve this I will have a look.

The seats are shocking. I hate the car for this reason. If anyone can suggest where to get some better seats from or selling some VRS seats please tell me

@SkodaKing I was looking at swapping my seats out for golf r or similar a while back.  £3-400 should be about right.  Cant justify it to the management though. even if I can get most of that back by selling mine.  Issue I have is they are manual+heated.  loads of the seats I found were manual or power+heated.

Where do you start looking for seats? I'd be after the manual non heated. Do you know which other seats would fit the octavia without and coding issues etc

I was looking at ebay.  Usually come as a set with the rear seats and door cards.  I only want the fronts which just adds to the difficulty.
