Going off your Fabia VRS ?

Featured Replies

There seems to be a fair few owners who are getting rid of thier cars. When I bought mine, there were basically no used ones in the dealers (and the ones they had were nearly new prices) and there were never (hardly) any on eBay. Now there's a fair few ? Just wondered.

The baby VRS has been around for some time now so there will be a fair few reaching end of warranty/MOT time. Its very common for people to change cars at that point.

Looks like those strong residuals may start to fall some time soon, in the same way you can buy an Octavia VRS for tuppence these days.

this is true.... mine will be going when it reaches the end of its warrenty next april! (I'll prolly buy another with some more options next time though!)

Well I am taking delivery of a Black Magic in next couple of weeks. This is a first. I shall keep it for one year then "give" it to my son. I already have a young lady from my Peugeot dealership who wants a ride so it must still have some appeal,or is it me!! lol. Will see how things go and perhaps order a replacement if my charm won't work!!!!!

Is she nice looking ? ;)

I changed my Furby VRS cos i needed more space (a car to put a wheelchair in). However if this hadn't been a necessity i would have kept it for a longer period and just exchanged it for another. It was the most fun drive i have ever had in a car. I exchanged it at 22000 miles, the car has never been raced and most of its mileage was done on A roads and it never had one problem from new. I kept the interior spic and span, which was easy as it was generally only me and possibly one passenger in the front. Think I only had someone in the back seat three times over 18 months of ownership. I was very sad to see it go though have to say so far after just over a month am very pleased with Octy estate, and the extra space has been brilliant. Just wish I had enough money to keep the furby as well just for fun driving, I found it quite fast enough without anything being altered i.e. remap. At present i think my little furby is still for sale at Winners in Cinderford. Would be a cracking buy if you could beat their price down a bit.

You are right when i was looking for a furby vrs originally there were no second hand ones about because it was quite a new car on the market but have noticed lots now but as someone else said there are lots coming up o the end of their warranty, only to be expected i guess.

Never get bored of mine. Had it 16 months & it keeps putting a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Planned on keeping it for at least 5 years & looks like I'm sticking to it, so far.

I am a petrolhead, so whilst I really do like my furby, it's just a case of me "missing" the petrol driving characteristics hence my move on to a mk2 octy vrs.

Also we are doing more onsite training and proof of concepts which means me lugging 5 or 6 desktops and monitors around the uk, so the boot space is a minor issue for me to.

I still think, and always will that for the money the fabia is one of the finest sporty hatch's out there

fuel bills will go up, but there is no such thing as a free lunch I suppose :)

If I had to keep track of all the strange men I have to do demos drives with

had mine 2 1/2 years now and still enjoying it. I keep thinking about trading in for a newer octy 1 vrs for the extra space but I just like my fabia too much at the moment it still ticks more boxes for me.

Might change my mind when they bring out the octy 2 vrs diesel but I reckon it'll be too expensive. Still I am tempted by a nearly new octy 1 vrs for around 12k though, just not sure it'll hold its value too well.....

particularly is it is in yellow!
You've just made that a 'girlie' colour now !

It always was!!

Still. Its better than a dark red metallic 1.2 Sport covered in dealer stickers!!

Some of us are secure enough with our sexuality that yellow doesn't bother us, however I can understand why some people feel the need to drive around in a 'masculine colour'

must be a 'compensation' thing :D

I got mine in June, still love it. It has a rare gift when it comes to cars, the element of surprise. Every now and again it absolutely flies! Love it more than i love my pet budgie! (but don't tell him/her it!)
