First service £199???

Featured Replies

That should be interesting.

I would not put a pram wheel fishbox cart into Arnold Clark Inverness for a service.

Why not go to Hawco in Inverness.  VW techs can service your car.

@Apprentice

I have always had Express Service & excellent Service.at Skoda Specialist Cars / SEAT Dundee, part of the John Clark group.

Car in for start of the day as the workshop opens.

When Perth Skoda was Thomson & Potter Burrelton the receptionist told me my Mk2 vRS could not be an automatic as shad had a vRS and they only came in manuals & diesel.

She was sure i was wrong with the service i wanted and how much it should cost.

As it was they overfilled the oil.

Thanks for that, yes I must admit I wasn't too keen to get the Karoq serviced in AC but it hadn't crossed my mind to get the first and any other services done at Hawco while the Karoq is still in warranty.

Don't think I'll bother with Perth then  ;)

Car was serviced this morning...I was told it would take 1.5 to 2hrs when I arranged it.(Oil service).

On arrival the receptionist advised that there was an engine management recall to be done too (assume its the kangaroo fix....Ive never had any issues so hope it doesnt create any adverse effects).

Anyhoo....3 hrs and 20 mins later my car is ready and Im advised they had found a screw in one of the tyres which was repaired free of charge. All good so far.

Stepped into the car in the rain and noticed the footwells looked nice and clean.....drove home and then checked the rear footwells and the boot floor.....both dirty. So didnt even get the ‘free’ wash and vac which is part of DM Keiths “5 Star Service”.

Well done on the free tyre repair....not so much on not completing the rather expensive ‘free’ wash and Vac.

All in all a bit of a ‘meh’ experience.

Excellent 5 star service from Skoda....

As a matter of interest what oil did they say they used in the oil and filter change or was it the full interim service the vehicle got?

I assume you didn't have to pay the sum of £199 either ;)
