2018 Fabia passenger window keeps opening

Featured Replies

I have a 2008 Fabia 1.4 with front electric windows. The passenger side keeps opening randomly. I thought it might be because I did a tear-down of the driver side switch ages ago. I disconnected it but that didn’t remedy it. I’ve checked the seal, in case something was causing pressure and making it open. If I leave it down, it randomly goes up as well though. Definitely electrical. I removed both switches and it’s still doing it. Looking on google and YouTube, I think it might be the wires going to the door. It sometimes won’t operate until opening and shutting the door. If the wires have come bare and are touching metal, would this cause this? I’m thinking of pulling the fuse until warmer weather. Is there a dedicated fuse for this? If so, which is the number please? I looked in my Haynes manual and it was no help

Is the car a Mk1 Fabia or Mk2? Would have thought 2008 was Mk2.

It’s Mk2. There’s a 3 at the end but I was told that just means I get parking sensors and a CD player etc. The parking sensors only work once in a blue moon too but I’ve learned to live without
