When I reverse out of my parking space every morning I get a worrying clunk coming from the front steering. Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I get it all the time. I also got the same clunk in my SEAT LEON (current model). I suspect it is an MQB trait.

I had it on my Tiguan and on my Yeti - when doing a full lock reverse - also feels like you run over a drain cover - on steering..

 

Had it on the caddy - loose subframe bolts (believe there's an updated bolt set..... I just hit them with the buzzgun).

Got it on the Fabia - worn bottom ball joints.

Get it occasionally on mine usually on cold mornings.
