Warranty on the Octy is up next month. I have a cuople of minor problems (cosmetic/ rattles) but can i ask them to have a quick look over the rest of the car to make sure it is ok before the warranty is up, or is that too cheeky.

Im assuming thats your 3 year warrany from new? Maybe worth having it MOT'd early just incase to highlight any issues that you can then get fixed under warranty. If your dealer does MOT's then stick it in there and kill 2 birds with one stone

Good idea, but only needs an MOT after 4 years in Northern Ireland

On the first favorit we bought garage actually rung us up and asked us to book car in for a pre warrenty run out inspection , said exhaust would probably start blowing soon and replaced it on warrenty :eek: don't know if this will applty under VAG and this garage as now closed :RIP:

That sounds excellent service. I will ask them if they can do that when it's next in. At least i won't feel as stupid if it has been done before.

Agree , I had 2 pieces of warranty work completed yesterday, a rear wiper motor, and a clutch YES thats right a clutch, was getting slip in 5th & 6th gear ONLY, the tech dept had a list of dodgy clutch plates that were put on a batch of Furby vRS's, mine was one of them . approx

Yeah you can ask for the car to be fully checked over, I did that on the Superb and they found a couple of extra bits to sort out, unfortunately they didn't sort out some of the other outstanding warranty work but hey, never mind!

Booked the Octy in next week. Full months warranty left.

I inquired about a full check and they said sure, they could carry out a full pre end of warranty inspection:thumbup: . I am assuming from this response that it is a common service offered at all dealers.
