Radio vs. Media Volume Issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I’ve done a search on ‘volume’ issues and can’t find the answer to this one.

On my way over to Kirkcudbright and travelling through the fells earlier, my DAB radio lost its signal as I expected it would and when it cut out, the volume was set at around 1/3rd, which was a comfortable volume.

I switched over from ‘radio’ to ‘media’ intending playing some of the music on my iPhone X. The screen was showing the songs were playing, but there was no sound at the previous volume level. After taking the volume up to its maximum, I could only just hear the music playing.

I haven’t purposefully loaded my phone’s music across to the car, all I’ve done is paired my phone to use the hands free telephone option and it looks like ‘media’ is connecting automatically via Bluetooth.

What do I need to do to get the media volume to match that of the radio ?

TIA

Volume control on your phone's media player?

I'm guessing but it's always best to start excluding the simplest possibilities first.

Yep. Turn the volume up on the phone. I usually set it to max then adjust the car volume as required.

I have a similar question, I connect my phone by CarPlay to a current Amundsen shiny screen Nav and the volume of the media played from the phone is noticeably quieter than the radio when you switch between the two.  Is there a way to moderate the difference?
