Hi folks, quick question do the 1.0 tsi have a DMF as I know the 3 cylinder do shake a bit on idle and a bit chattery. Not sure if it's just characteristic of the car or the dmf making noise. Mine only has 1400 miles on. Had a check done on mine last time it went in and they said it was fine but clutches are only covered for 3 months and if it fails it will be £2000 sir, haha like hell I'm paying for a clutch that soon lol.

Were did you get the 3 month bit from? 

Was it Dealership staff, if so ask them to show you that in writing.

 

3 Cylinder engines are what they are, go sit in a 1.0TSI with a DSG and see how that feels.

 

Clutches are a wear and tear item in Exclusions, but if faulty in Design or Manufacture that is a different issue.

Read your Warranty and look at the 6 month / 6,500 mile bit and what that refers to.

That was skoda driverline, some kind of customer service line. I've been driving 15 years and never had a clutch go on me and never ride a clutch or anything. I have raised the issue from day 1 of getting the vehicle so no matter what mileage is on car in 3 years of lease, il be paying nothing to them as far as in concerned. I didnt know they did a dsg in a 1.0 tsi.

They don't anymore.

 

As the mk3 is on runout to my knowledge all cars are now built. The current pricelist shows only limited models and hardly any factory options, but with an a appendix for stock only derivatives.  Even that hasn't got the 1.0 DSG so they must have sold all of them a bit ago.
