FL MK2 VRS DSG

Featured Replies

So I picked this up Yesterday, with the intention that @EllenHyuga will learn to drive now.

Specs:

FL vrs tdi dsg

Race blue

Cruise control

Rear parking sensors

Rear tints (not factory but done well)

Aftermarket nav unit (seems ok, will upgrade eventually)

So it's done 70k miles, full Skoda service history and everything has been done to the letter. Drives beautifully, this is my first auto car and I can safely say I'm a convert.

Plans are mainly going to be keeping it stock, although a remap is probably on the cards at some point.

So, it's already broken down 😳 luckily only the battery. It was still the original Škoda one from new so has lasted well. Nice shiny Yuasa 096 fitted with 5 year warranty, starts nicely now.

Should get between 205-210bhp with a stage 1 map up from the standard 168bhp. Dad has your engine in a 2012 Superb Estate with DSG and it drives very nice even without a remap.

Mods are already arriving, got an auto light kit and an Rns315 turning up soon as well as a replacement for the lock button which is not working.

Fixed an issue with the boot lid rattling today. Needed to adjust all of the latch, catch and bump stops etc to get it to sit right and get the boot switch sensing the boot was shut but we got there in the end. Whilst investigating I realised that my rear wash wipe isn't squirting over the screen, and my boot is filling up with I presume screenwash. Is there any common places inside the boot for these to pop off or is it more likely rto be another location thats causing the leak into my boot?

Amundsen+ unit now fitted along with bluetooth microphone in interior light, all coding enabled to allow phonebook in MFD etc. Dashcam hardwired in too. Autolight kit turned up but was for a VW so lit up red. Ordered a replacement which is the correct green illumination and is also bluetooth compatible so you can connect via phone and adjust all of the lighting options. Will be interesting to see how well it works.

Went along to the JKM dyno day today, pulled some pretty impressive figures for a standard car.

Correct your engine should produce 168bhp same as my Dad's 2012 Superb with the same 6 speed DSG. Think the standard car is rated at 320nm what did yours produce because this a good indicator of a remapped car. For example 400nm is 294lb/ft.
