Remote key not opening back door

Featured Replies

Hi

my remote unlocks the car but only front door - any suggestions??

many thanks

A quick double click will unlock all your doors.

You can program the car to open everything by default if you so wish though.

Excellent Thanks Matie... Thats worked !! now the question is i have two keys

1. that opens with single click all the doors

2. that opens front door with single click and back with double click.

you mentioned about programming the car - could you please explain how ?

Another quick question, is there a way of switching the navigation while driving once you get to point from where u know your way around

Many Thanks & Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays !!!

Both keys can be programmed independently of each other, the idea being two different drivers have their own key. The key remembers each drivers preferred settings.

On basic models things like the locking and unlocking procedure, on higher spec models things like the electric seat position and coming/leaving home lights etc.

You need to repeat the programming process for each of the two keys. This must start with you unlocking the car with each key, turning on the ignition with the same key, and then adjusting the settings in the cars menu.

Turn off the ignition and lock the car, before repeating the process with the second key.

Does your Octavia have Maxidot (the more advanced central display inbetween the dash dials)? You'll need this to access the settings menu. It was standard on higher spec models, or a factory cost option on most of the lesser models.
