I'm sorry if this has been submitted multiple times but I'm stuck. I had a friend of a friend perform the service on my 2015 VRS diesel, just oil change, coolant and put new glow plugs in as I was getting an error from 1 of them. The mechanics found out though that the software on the laptop was out of date and could only reset the oil change/ service now on Octavia mark 2 and lower as they need to upgrade their out of date software. This service now message is really annoying and I've learned my lesson now I'm going to go direct to skoda for any future work. Is there any way I can turn this message off? I've found info about reseting the oil change message with the trip button but it doesn't seem to clear the service now message. I've also just bought one of those vs450 OBD tools and awaiting delivery of this but I've just read that it will read codes but only reset codes and errors up to 2000!
