Hello,

Does anyone can find for me suitable coding of module 03 ABS Brakes?

I have Octavia III MY2016 and this ABS:

Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104)       Labels: 5Q0-907-379-ESP-V1.clb
   Part No SW: 3Q0 907 379 T    HW: 3Q0 907 379 C
   Component: ESC           H32 0393
   Revision: 00000000    Serial number: 61335000000409
   Coding: 1C07629114210973007D060541CA243846289000608224F20041F072C002
   Shop #: WSC 73430 031 00063
   ASAM Dataset: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100ESP 034033
   ROD: EV_Brake1UDSContiMK100ESP_034_SK37.rod
   VCID: 4B95D22BE2C519173C-801E

No fault code found.

I had retrofit Front Assist, Lane Assist, PLA3.0 (before PLA2.0) - maneuvering brake, original trailer module.

I tried to find the coding change via VCDS and ODIS, but it didn't show me anything. It just plain code without any "bit ticking"

Next year I would like to retrofit also ACC, so if anyone can find me the coding with and without ACC, it would be the best :D

I tried to search everywhere, but without any luck 😕

You mean High beam assist? For light assist? You need camera in rearview mirror or module A5, which is camera for Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and Light Assist (High Beam Assist), that's all.

Much easier is to change the rearview mirror and replace it with new one with this camera, because you just need to do wiring. The second option is much complicated, because you need to do also calibration of the camera to get it to work.

Well, yeah, it looks like it. Here is a picture of original part:

did anyone do this?
tell me if I just need a rearview mirror with a camera
or something else? where it connects how etc.

do you think everything is exactly the same? where is HIGH 'CAN Gateway located? and how do i know if i have one?

You’ll need to scan the car and check the part number against other High Gateways. The Gateway is in the same place on the Octy, it’s above the brake pedal. I couldn’t say about the wiring, you would have to check ErWin.

Hi,

I did something stupid and I reset the ABS module to Factory Settings from the Basic Settings-04 menu, option no:2 Reset to factory settings.

Now, the MIL is ON for the ESP and the bellow errors are now store in module:

U1121 00 [009] - Missing Message
[New Feature! Extented UDS fault detail is only supported by current gen,. interfaces]
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
 Fault Status: 00000001
 Fault Priority: 6
 Fault Frequency: 1
 Reset Counter: 104
 Mileage: 61235 km
 Date: 2021.06.19
 Time: 23:22:07

and

0295 - Steering angle sensor
          B1168 54 [137] - Missing Calibration / Basic Setting
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 00000001
                    Fault Priority: 2
                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Reset counter: 104
                    Date: 2021.06.19
                    Time: 23:22:07

I added back the

the one stored by the factory but with not to much luck.

I've also did a bit of digging and found the below video:  https://youtu.be/au4FR1FCrHU but I'm afraid I didn't save all those data.

Does it happen that you previously saved all your data for your vehicle from Applications/Controller Channel Map/?

If yes, can you please share them with me to try to recover my module?

Thank you so much.

After restoring the factory coding and WITHOUT DISCONNECTING the diagnostic lead OR closing the connection to the ABS controller you need to complete the calibration of the steering angle sensor (G85?) - usually this is done by turning the steering wheel one way then the other.

I've already tried that but for sure with the VCDS disconnected and with closing the initial connection to the ABS module.  Thank you.

What about the 1-st error? How can I get rid of that? Shall the VCDS be able to restore the full configuration OR another interface is required(e.g. ODIS)?

I think it is worth bring in @langers2kat this point has he has scans of numerous cars to yours and maybe able to assist with coding.

I don't think I have much in the way of ABS adpmaps as I've never needed to recode/tweak them.

Quick google came up with a hit: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8744/

It's a newer module that yours but might help. Assuming your VCDS cable is genuine, I'd suggest making a thread on the Rosstech forum with your autoscan and adpmap :)

Thank you guys for your support.

So, it would be possible to recover it without on-line ODIS, VCP or other tools and without asking for help on a Skoda dealer?

@langers2k I'm afraid my VCDS cable is non genuine, because it has been bought from my country, so it's a china cheep clone. :(

Okay - folks - I'll raise this point again.  PLEASE PLEASE do not buy non-genuine VCDS because the software is a) Old as heck and won't support cars any newer than 2015, b) you are potentially supporting crime and c) you could risk damaging your car due to the hacking of that old version of the VCDS.

I apprechiate that VCDS is not a cheap system - but it isn't expensive either.  Folk on this forum are passionate about cars and I know that we all tend to grind our collective teeth when folk present with a non-genuine VCDS install and ask us to fix stuff for them.  You are not going to get a good response.

Alternatives to consider: ODBEleven (PRO) will allow you to do the same changes but from the comfort of your smartphone (and is almost quite okay these days).  Carista ODB2 is also worth considering (although I haven't used it).  Both are cheaper alternatives.

There are two official resellers in Romania who sell genuine VCDS cables

VCDS can probably do the steering angle but I haven't got any instructions/guides. Without knowing which message is missing it's hard to offer advice on the second code. Given the status of your cable, Rosstech won't help so you're somewhat stuck.

I'd suggest finding a specialist with the correct, genuine tools or going to a dealer. Yes, it'll cost some money but your car will be fixed and you'll never press factory reset again!

Apologies guys, but when I bought that cable, I was a newbie, so I didn't know the difference between a clone and a real cable, so probably I was fooled by the seller.
So in fact I can't do anything with my cable, so probably I'll ask help to a Skoda dealer.

Thank you for your support.
