Does the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 have any rim protection?

Featured Replies

@PetrolDave You have me there.

I have the new asymmetric 5.s in 225/40/18 on my leon

really good tyre - loads of grip

decent rim protection too, quite a fat tyre, more so than the  bridgestone Potenza's they replaced

only downside is they are quite a noisy tyre - that's the only complaint

Got the Asy 5s fitted this week in 235 35 R19. The tyre looks good and has generous rim protection. The car handles brilliantly with them and road noise is very quiet. The ride is comfortable and not too jarring.

Reading peoples posts on here about the Octy understeering must be either driving too fast for the corner or braking mid corner pushing the car wide. The car just sticks to the road when pushing on with these tyres. Very impressed with these and a big step up over the Asy 3s that were fitted before.
