Unresponsive touchscreen

Featured Replies

Hi all,  looking at a 2015 SE but just been told that the touchscreen has just gone Unresponsive to some touches from cold - was working fine.  There’s a lot of threads on this but I’m getting confused to the latest info on the fix.

Is it as simple as a firmware update - if so where can I get the file?

Or does it need a replacement head unit too....

thanks

What is the model number and SW version of your current unit? Check in menu SETUP / SYSTEM INFORMATION.

I had the same issue, unresponsive screen on a 2015 Fabia in cold weather, but a simple restart fixed it, i.e. on the next drive it was okay again.

As daft as it sounds, even if the screen looks clean, clean it with a microfiber cloth and some screen cleaner. Give it a good scrub. I was having the same issues.

I had an issue sevaral times with changing songs. somehow it does not respond for the next / previous song buttons. Even on steering wheel it did not respond. everything else works just ok. After I turn off and on ignition it was again OK. it happened 4 times. I have Amundsen infotainment. Car is 2018 with 25k km.

I have a 2015 Superb with a similar issue. Touchscreen can be unresponsive on cold start then starts randomly beeping with imaginary touches sometimes changing radio station etc.

A reboot by pressing and holding the on off button doesn’t work and sometimes the physical buttons don’t work when the screen isn’t responding. Normally sorts itself out after 15 mins or so.

I’ve read a software update might help but just discovered there’s no SD card in the slot
