vRS rear spats/wheel arch liner

Featured Replies

Whilst cleaning my car I noticed that the small black plastic spat that sits just in front of the nearside rear wheel was smashed. Looking more closely, it seems like this is part of the wheel arch liner.

Do I have to replace the whole liner? Any idea how much they are?

Thanks

Darren

2002 Octavia vRS

The N/S spat broke on my vrs, but I repaired mine.

I used some 1/8" thick rubber and some black silocone.

The damage was quite big and was jagged.........I traced out the profile of the O/S spat and cut out the same on the reverse side of the rubber......cut it out then held it on damaged spat.......marked the outline of the damage onto the rubber and cut it out.

I then stuck it in position with black silicone with a slightly larger rubber patch on the back side (nearest the wheel) to Keep it in position.

The result.........spot on (and I'm hard to please), and it only took me about 30 min's to do.
