Android auto

Featured Replies

I have a Octavia 2017, beautiful car. I am struggling to get my new phone to connect to Android Auto. I have just bought a Samsung A71 and the phone connection is not compatible with the USB connection.  I have bought a cable that fits my phone and my USB in the car, but it still wont connect with the Android Auto system.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you.

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Best post this in the Octavia or tech sections.

This. Usually this is the problem as carplay is baked in people think it's the same with AA. You have to download the app and it helps if you set it up away from the car then follow the instructions once plugged in.

In the Android Auto settings go to "Connected Cars" then enable the option for it to add new cars.

Took me a while to find this somewhat obscure but essential setting.
