How to disable KESSY with VCDS

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've recently bought a 2016 Skoda Superb L&K and I'm trying to disable KESSY using VCDS. I bought VCDS from Gendan.

I've been following the instructions below, but VCDS doesn't ask for a security key. Instead if gives me an error when I try to make the change.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Go into 09 central electrics

Enter security code at the VCDS prompt

Go into Adaptations

in search box type Key

It'll bring up the options associated with keyless

your after IDE 11944-ENG 141948 Keyless access and start authorization-Kessy

Change it to not installed.

Now what happens is everything is disabled (doors/Boot/sensor that detects the key inside car)

To start hold your keyfob near where you'd insert the key if you had ignition barrel

This tells the car it's ok to start when you press the button.

Think of it as an old fashioned aftermarket immobiliser, in that you have to hold the fob near there every time

Good point is it locks down all the doors / boot
Bad point if you can call it one, the holding of the key to the sensor area to energise the Start button.

Not trying to be funny or difficult but this is basic stuff.
If you do not know then I would seriously reconsider doing any coding, especially stuff that can brick the car.

Do some research , ideally on the Ross-Tech site.

You have no idea of my level of experience, I am just asking for help.

If you don't want to help, don't.

Actually you made it quite clear on how much experience you have with VCDS by needing to ask.

Anyone can brick a controller, the advice I gave you was for your own safety.

The key has to be right by the start / stop button on the ignition barrel, otherwise it isn't detected and the car won't start.

From searching on the internet you can either disable the driver and passenger door sensors (leaving the boot / trunk still vulnerable) or you can disable the whole system.
