Water leak heater blower

Featured Replies

I've searched around re this subject but can't seem to find a suitable answer.

2014 Superb and just replaced the heater blower as it was seized due to water ingress. The n/s drain was blocked so cleaned all that out and put the hose on and nothing was coming in. Also checked the pollen filter and there was no water there.

But occasionally will drive the car in a morning and there will be water dripping down the passenger footwell from the blower.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply.

The water falling in the passenger side footwell (from heater motor) doesn't start dripping until the engine is started. And it more so happens when the car is reversed in the drive so nose up slightly.

the fan starts when the engine does, could it be spraying water in its container allowing it to then come out, there is a thread on hear with someone who found the motor case full of water, the thread concerned failed blower motor. just a thought
