Some Barstwerd has just done a hit and run :mad: :eek: on ma Vrs and took the drivers mirror clean off,any ideas how much a newbie will be before I go through the Insurance?

Couple of hundred pounds IIRC. Depends on if the mounting base has been damaged to. I wouldnt bother with claiming it on your insurance, by the time you take into account the excess and the loss of NCB at renewal it will just be cheaper to pay for it.
