Autometrix Track Day @ Croft circuit on 29th April

Featured Replies

The publishers of VW Driver & Audi Driver mags are running a Track day @ Croft circuit on 29th April. It's open to all VAG vehicles.

I've done several track days @ Croft & it's fantastic circuit.

This time I won't be on the track, but I will be spectating (it's free!)

More info is here:- www.autometrix.co.uk

I'll be going down from Newcastle if anyone is interested in a wee convoy.

What time is it on? I might pop down for a gander if I'm free.

I was gonna do a full on waxing session that day but I might be tempted.

Starts at 9am & is on all day.

There'll be some trade stands there too. Milltek, AMD, Awesome GTI, VAGtech & Jennings SEAT will be there. Some will be giving passenger rides in their demo cars.

Sounds tempting. I might see you there then.

I'll be heading up from Sheffield, anyone else?

I was only there for a short while in the afternoon, but it was fantastic!

Lots of nice machinery on the track. Nice RS4 giving it big licks round the track & sounded awesome!! Millteks Porsche Caymen looked nice aswell.

Chowy, only saw you doing your sighting laps behind the Cooper I'm afraid.

But did you have a passenger ride in a M3??

Pics will be posted later - off for a few beers now!!:D

There's a trackday on Sunday aswell (30th) I'm going to have a pop along for an hour or so as it's my day off :)

What a day!

I was there around 11am and was just about to leave when I got to chat to a guy at the Milltek stand. He asked if I had my name down for a ride in someones car.

I went over to register and found out that you can do a session for

I didn't think they let non audi / vw on these days...least that was the case a while back.

Umph...When's the next one :)

Oh re needing a faster car, not at all...just more days out on track.

I was thinking that when I saw the TVR, M3, Elise & bike engined Caterfields go by. But they have opened it up to all VW Group vehicles now.

I know that the Porsche Caymen is Milteks own & the they were sponsoring the event.

Next one is on 29th July @ Castle Combe.

I think you are right. It's not me!:o

I know there was a guy taking pics. Not sure if it's for Croft or Autometrix. Can you get to view these pics on the web?

PS They told me they opened up the trackday to all cars when they find that they don't have enough numbers of VAG cars

I think the photographer is a local guy who works on behalf of Croft circuit.

This is one of a few he took of me last year.

I think he's called Tony Todd. Have his contact details back home.

Do you deal with him direct or Croft? Also how much?

If you can get the details, that would be great!

Your car looks clean. More than what could be said about mine.....
