Hi all. Newbie here! Have just purchased a 19 plate 2.0 TDI SE L Executive with sunroof and am very pleased with it. I’m considering getting roof bars to get a bike rack and it suddenly dawned on me that I may not be able to as it has a sunroof. Does anyone have any experience of this. Thanks.

With my Mk 3 estate it was fine with the Pano roof. 

 

Call The Roof Specialist. Talk it through with them. They are very knowledgable and can help you with bars that will fit.

I have Thule Wingbars and they work fine with the sunroof, can open and close without catching

 

Mine is a hatch
