Intake Manifold EML

Featured Replies

So intake manifold replaced. OEM actuator fitted too. Still won't turn off engine light. ECU specialist can't find an issue with anything at all. Neither can the mechanic. Runs for about 4 days and EML pings on but doesn't record a fault. Mechanic thinks it may be a slight tolerance within the manifold and the rotation of the flaps as its a non OEM part. Skoda want £515 for the manifold. Any ideas??

Is this a PD or a CR engine?  The usual fix  for the 170 TDI PD, engine code BMN is to fit the alloy inlet manifold from the 140 TDI BKD which doesn't have flaps.

I've done this to my BMN engined Golf and it made a world of difference.
