Featured Replies

Hi I’m new here so please bare with me... my Octavia has recently started cutting out on me and threw up a load of codes to do with the electrics to the engine... I spent a hour today cleaning the terminals under the bonnet on the fuse carriers and relays ... took her for a test drive I stopped and started a few times and all was good..../ tonight I went to start her and she just turned over but wouldn’t start... on the third try she started... I put my limited diagnostic reader on and read 3 faults...P1602 power supply b+TERMINAL 30: low voltage.

P0685 ECM/PCM POWER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT =>-J271:open

P3087 supply relay for engine components: electrical malfunction ...

can anyone help please

Have you thought about popping your battery on a charger/replacing it first?

Sounds like low voltage causing issues?

Thanks for the advice.... the battery is holding a good charge and giving out just over 13volts.... I have since pulled and checked my fuses on the dash board (drivers side) the 40A marked engine looked like it had a waxy coating on the spade connectors...I’ve cleaned them and fingers crossed it might have been that.... I’ve used the car about 6 times since and all seems ok 🤞
