i love it, the auto hold is amazing too

I find its a culmination of lots of small things that make an experience more enjoyable.

Sure, the lower spec Kodiaq's are better value and perform their role equally as well, but if you're spending £20,000 plus on a car then for me it makes sense to spend a little more and get all the little features you want.

I bought on price alone before (Skoda Superb) and spent the next 8 years and 180,000 miles with a small amount of regret in the back of my mind.

Not this time! :D

its a 2017 SE-L 1.4 petrol 4x4 in white, im not sure what it has extra over OE tbh, it does have built in sat nav, and heated seats, i dont have a rear parking camera which i think will be on the cards in the next few months, its just had new pads and discs front and rear before i got it, and the haldex oil changed too

These Kodiaqs are honestly awesome cars. I lost about £11k on my 2017 to upgrade to my 2019 and have no regrets at all, maybe apart from no ventilated seats...

I think that's right and it depends on personal choice.

There really is no right answer.

e.g. Heated seats - I have them and wouldn't pay £1 for them if they were an option

LED headlights - worth the extra imo.

Buying a base spec car and adding options makes sense if you are not going to use half the addons, then again if the price of the options outweighs the next spec up, then obviously that changes things.

Ultimately only YOU can decide what's important to you.

Spot on.  Tell the chap on another thread who listed a hundred options and asked for opinions on spec :)

New here and awaiting my Kodiaq to be ready next week, but great and interesting reading the thread and great to see Brun got what he is happy with.

Can't wait for next Thursday to pick up the 2018 2.0 TDI (150ps) 4X4 SE L (7 Seats) SUV I bought yesterday. Had a great test drive and that pretty much sold it for me to be honest!
