Hi, pulled the trigger on a New Octavia SE-L First Edition 2.0TDI DSG in Race Blue Metallic. Should be with me next week, new work motor.

Had the MK 1 Superb Estate back in the day and loved it. Only had a quick sit in the Sales Managers Estate version but love the clean interior. I know a lot of people like the switches and dials but each to their own.

Wife isn't happy, I am getting mine before her new Kodiaq arrives next month.

I am sure I will be on again once it arrives and keeping an eye on here!

Okay, technically the Mk2 Estate? I don't think they did an Estate version in the Mk1.

DIY ABS warning Fix

Yesterday our Roomster started beeping and flashing the warning light about the ABS. My first thought was to replace the ABS sensors – they are around £7 each and seem to be easy enough to replace by removing the rear wheels. I could also give the connections a bit of a clean at the same time. What are my chances chances of fixing the issue within 45 minutes of DIY work? I don’t have any diagnostic tools, but if this is a common fault with an easy fix it would be great to know what other peo

Hi, My tensioner failed at low revs and speed, the car juddered and stalled. It restarted and I drove home about a mile steadily. It seemed to drive normally if a little noisy. Next day it would start but not run. The check engine light was on. Pretty sure the Timing jumped a tooth. Q. do the valves always hit the pistons? do the valves always bend? Might I get away with an new tensioner and re-time? TIA

Hi, I'm looking at a 72k mile Skoda Superb 65 plate, hopefully lots of motorway miles. It looks good, my main concerns being the lack of dsg oil change & potential for carbon build up due to direct injection. I currently have a mk6 Golf GTI (EA888 Gen 1) which didn't support dual injection & bit me when the carbon build up & clogged injectors caused a flooded cylinder. I've tried to research this but I'm getting conflicting information around this engine & I wasn't sure if s

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking about taking my TDI RS Octavia to a track day, but I know that the stock oil cooling is a critical weak point. My question is whether there is an OEM+ solution out there, like using a Crafter oil cooler, or if I should go with an external oil cooler instead. On top of that, how plug-and-play is an external oil cooler setup?
