Xenon leveling sensor not fixed by changing sensor

Featured Replies

Hi.

I've had an issue with my front xenon leveling sensor (Open circuit or short to b+). I read the faultcode with OBD11.

I changed the sensor today on my own, but it still say short to B+ or open circuit.

When i try to clear the fault, i hear a violent humming with the sound of plastic gears grinding from both headlamps for about 3 seconds. The lamp is also shaking like crazy when doing so.

I fear this is an expensive fix at the skoda dealer :(

Anyone had same issue?

Does anyone have the schematics for the system, so i can maybe change the cable if it turns out to be bad? Where does the cable go?

Also, i'm considering if i can disable the whole system, and manually adjust it with either obd11 or with the adjustmentscrew? The car will likely be scrapped before the next 2-year EU-control anyway... (Norway)

Thanks
