Interesting one

Hi all, I'm wondering if someone can shed any light on this thing I have with my Octy RS. I wouldn't really call it a problem but it's strange. Whenever my fuel gets to about a third of a tank the power seems to be increased or it feels like it anyway. Fuel down to a quater tank and it feels less powerful. I've been monitoring this for a while now and the only things I could come up with is a possible problem with the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator Any ideas?

I have heard of this being reported by other members in the past.

I always thought my old car seemed quicker/livelyer when she was full of juice.

A few of us who had been remapped felt the car felt less powerful or responsive with anything less than half a tank.

Usually, less weight = faster acceleration. Is there any way to check the pressure on the fuel pump with vagcom? The feeling of it being faster when full of gas comes from the fact that engines will spool the turbo faster when under more load. For a fixed throttle position, more weight will mean more load. So you'll feel it spool faster, but the total weight will slow you down a bit.
